Gerald K. Edwards, D.C.

After attending UCLA Dr. Edwards entered Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1991. Not wasting any time, Dr. Edwards opened his private practice in Santa Monica the same year he graduated. After no small degree of success at that location, he sold the practice to a multi-disciplinary organization and became part of that larger group in 1998.

In 2000, Dr. Edwards was appointed secretary of the corporation and a sitting member of the quality assurance committee with the responsibility of clinical oversight of all West Coast offices. In that role, he interfaced with all the offices to assure across-the-board compliance with the national guidelines for client/patient issues, and was responsible for oversight of guideline compliance of each individual doctor.

In fulfilling this compliance-oversight function, Dr. Edwards honed his documentation and record-keeping skills – an often under-appreciated, yet crucial factor in the protection of patient, doctor and organizational interests – and achieved the crucial skill of effectively interfacing with the “traditional” medical community.

Longing for a return to private practice, Dr. Edwards bought back his practice and moved to a new location in Culver City in 2001. At this new location he teamed up with other clinicians to offer the integrated holistic approach of both chiropractic and traditional medical care.

Ever seeking to expand his abilities and offer his patients the very best care possible, in 2002 Dr. Edwards began training for a Diplomate status as a Chiropractic Neurologist. He accomplished this professional designation in 2005, and has, ever since, treated patients with neurological issues.

Aracely Zamudio, Front Office Manager

Any patient arriving in Dr. Edward's office soon realizes that Aracely is the "backbone" of the office. She is in charge of scheduling appointments, handling all patient forms along with financial payments to make sure they're completed properly or updated as necessary, and providing the doctor with the information he needs for a patient's visit. And, while doing all this, Aracely immediately puts people at ease with her light-hearted demeanor; she is the calming force of the office.

Aracely has been with Dr. Edwards since 2005, following a 13-year background working for another chiropractor. When asked what she thinks of her boss, she says, "Dr. Edwards is talented and caring for each and every patient, I truly enjoy being a part of the team”. Aracely is often referred to as “Vice – President of Front Office Affairs”. She is married and has 4 children.

Kelly Ryans, Massage Therapist

Kelly Ryans has been a Certified Massage Therapist since 2005. She studied and graduated that year from Everest College (formerly Bryman College) in West Los Angeles. Currently, she continues studies as a Kinesiology major to earn her Masters in Physical Therapy.

Drawing from her knowledge of human physiology and a willingness to explore new therapeutic applications, Kelly’s bodywork is a combination of several different modalities, providing a massage that is both effective and relaxing. Using techniques from Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release and a distinctive blend of Trigger Point and Accupressure Therapies, combined with her intuitive abilities, she is able to relax the nervous system, soften muscle tissue and increase joint function and muscle mobility. The ‘Therapy’ is emphasized in Massage Therapy.
